Commands & Units
- Commands the Cavalry Brigade of IV Corps at Waterloo (1815, age 18)
Based on the lifespan in the notes, this is Prince Wilhelm von Preussen (1797–1888) "Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig and later Kaiser Wilhelm I" - but he wasn't at Auerstadt etc - he was 9 at the time. Likely conflated with the other Prince Wilhelm von Preussen (1783–1851) "Friedrich Wilhelm Karl" - his uncle. The 18-year-old Prince Wilhelm served as a Major and commanded a battalion of the 1st Foot Guards (1. Garderegiment) at Waterloo.
X (Col.) 06 Auerstadt; XX 14 Laon, Paris; XX (Cav.) 15 Waterloo. (1797-1888)
