Trained as an artilleryman, he was active in politics (Mayor of Nimes) during the early stages of the Revolution. X 93 Army of the Coasts; arrested 10/93 – 12/94; returned to the Convention; XX rank 6/95; briefly arrested in 10/95; arrested by order of Augereau 1 in 1796 he was shipped to prison in French Guiana; escaped in 6/98 but died the following month.
